Our mission is to work with the next generation of entertainers and creatives, providing them with the resources and belief they need to be a part of something bigger than themselves. One good story can solve a thousand problems, and we’re passionate about empowering the next generation of storytellers to do their thang.
Devil's Avocado Productions began brewing in the mind of Joey, a natural born storyteller, during his formal acting training. After some disastrous experiences trying to put a showreel together, Joey did not give up, or complain, but channeled his frustration with the industry into creating proactive solutions. With this showreel company seed firmly planted, Joey accumulated years of experience working for a casting platform, resulting in the perfect combination of skillsets and experience to turn this idea into reality.
Enter Roddy, a storyteller behind the camera, with the same ambition of building a business that empowers creatives. Like ketchup and mustard, this duo aligned their different, yet complementary flavours to bring this hot dog to life. With no money or production experience, these two rascals recruited an array of acting pals, and filmed an abundance of scenes, free of charge, to build up a portfolio. After a grueling year of working for similar wages to that of North Korean barbers, Joey and Roddy quickly refined their skills, and built up the confidence to take the leap into Devil’s Avocado full time.
Fast forward 3 years and 400 happy clients later, these sons of guns have disrupted the UK showreel industry and helped an army of actors transform their video CVs - making their dream of becoming a paid storyteller a reality.
We know the world admires actors and entertainers at the pinnacle of their careers, while aspiring actors receive widespread discouragement at the beginning of their journeys.
